body swap

I

have a 1966 f250 4x4 chassis that needs a new body, have a 1972 f100 with no motor. Is it possible to mount 72 body on 66 chassis?

Korin, Welcome to and the Slicks Forum.

The truck in the photo is NOT a 66, it appears to be about a 1960.

The 72 is not a bolt on although with enough talent should be made to ride on the chassis.

Actually, that's not the original body either. Thanks for the advice

Oh OK, I see you have edited the original, we can only go by what you post.

I hope you can make your project work.

To update any who may want to know: 1966 f250 4x4 chassis & drivetrain; 1960 f100 Custom Cab; 1959 hood; 19?? bed. Drive past the '59 stepside truck the hood came from regularly. This '66 has been in this neighborhood for over 30 years, used hard but it's a Timex, just keeps on ticking.

I think you should rip that body off, drop it in a field, and ship the chassis to me!

Seriously if you decide to sell it I would probably be interested, depending on where you are located.

1957/60 Styleside beds were also installed on some 1961/66's. Called the "wrong" beds by enthusiasts, as the bed lines don't match the cab lines.

1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1961/66 F350 (9' express only) / 1962/63 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F250 4WD
