Hey guys. A buddy of mine has been having some odd issues with his '04 F-150 with the 5.4. He says when you take off, the engine will surge and stumble, but once you get passed that point, itll run fine. Then the next day it will run just fine. It sounded like a computer problem to me but Im not certain. He also said the power steering went out and never came back (not sure if its a related issue)

Any ideas?

 

Any Codes? What is fuel pressure? As for power steering need more info.

 

No codes, and according to his scan tool, he was running 39-43 lbs at idle.


I just mentioned the power steering to make sure it wasn't a contributing factor lol

 

Has he changed the fuel filter?
