E4OD TROUBLE!!!!!! "Plz Help"

For the love of christ i hope someone can help

1997 Ford F-250 3/4 Ton 4X4 Auto. trans 128,890 miles

i'll start at the beginning, this truck was passed down to me afte rmy great pops died some years back, never had issue until this past summer, i noticed it would hesitate to shift out from 3rd to 4th while the engine was cold, then a mile or 2 down the road she would shift out. well it was like this for a while up till a few weeks ago, i do not run this truck in the dirt i baby it every where i go, mostly cause of MPG! lol but a friend was stuck the other day, and i pulled him out, never got the truck over 4 grand and i had to ****** 2 times but nothing that any other truck could not handle, i dont even think i broke traction, but when i pulled him out and was the way home the truck will not shift out of second gear to third or 4th!!! it shifts fine in all other gears perfect reverse was good, did research and also point out, im mechanically inclined lol. i took it to r&d transmission and they said it was my solenoid block. well dropped pan i already had a drain plug installed years back, went ahead replaced the solenoid block connected harness back new fluid strainer and gasket, still wont shift, then i replaced TPS cause someone said that could be an issue, tested alternator, its came back good passed all tests diodes are good also, also read on the speed sensor could effect it, replaced it!!! then i read the E4OD in mine could have a stuck valve in the valve body. i carefully took it apart, had to drain the pan ONCE AGAIN!! pulled the entire valve body inspected the check ***** i think there called and the valves seemed to be moving properly, i checked all the springs thats in the valve body to see if the may have collapsed or something there all good none was stuck closed or open the all sprung back to position. buttoned everything back new fluid again!!!! lol and fired it up and et her idle for a min or so took it down the road still not shifting out, i mean even before i worked on it you can fell the truck trying to hit third but never engages. plz help i really want my pops old ford back on the road. thank you

You have a big story there so let me begin by addressing the first no cold upshift from 3 to OD.
It is normal for no upshift to OD until the transmission temp sensor detects
about 98 degrees. Your just now noticing it.
Next you should have checked for codes before going into the work and end up with no good result.
Always endeavor to find proof for action before taking anything apart, as a last resort.
At this point you may have introduced more issues along with the original issue.
The computer shifts the transmission my operating electric solenoids that open paths to the clutch paks and servos.
These are monitored by the computer for failures.

The mechanical parts of the operation after the solenoids operate, the computer cannot monitor because there is no way to do that.

For the upshifts that fails, either the solenoid has failed, there is a mechanical failure in the valve body or clutch operation has failed.
Separate the electrical function from the mechanical functions to see which area you need to look into.
The TPS can affect the upshift points as it's the only way the system has to know what the driver wants it to do.
Take a look for codes, then make a decision on that.
If you take the valve body down, the springs and ball checks must go back in exactly as they originally came from and the valves the springs control, must be free to move.
At this point you need a good detailed valve body layout to be sure things get back in the places they need to be.
After all they direct fluid flow through the channels and control intensity of the up and down shift by the spring tension places on the valves.
A stuck valve is a no shift. A broken spring is a harsh shift.
Good luck.

its always shifted fine on a cold start never had an issue with hesitation until this past summer, and i did check the codes i said above i took it to r&d transmission it came up my solenoid block. look man imma do my research then look into work from the cheapest way first, i asked for help not a lecture thanx! i understand how the valve body works lol im not new to this. i looking seen post around people having the similar problem, but the computer is no longer show codes for the transmission. just seeing if someone else had a similar issue that i could try

No there is not.

The internal filter is good for the life of the transmission. It only needs to be changed when the trans is rebuilt.

The only way the filter can get enough junk in it that it needs to be changed is if the transmission has already failed.
