Alright so the other day it seemed as if my trans was a little low and I ended up adding 5 quarts to get it to read right... Now yesterday when I got home from work it puked probably a gallon of trans fluid, afterwards I noticed the dip stick tube bolt was loose and it made it's way out of the transmission.... But even if the tube comes out it shouldn't leak should it? It's not like the trans fluid fills the dip stick tube while your driving??? Little confused as it wether it's overfull now or not....
Sounds like you overfilled. Did you follow the procedure in the owners manual for checking the level? Get it to operating temp, shift through all the gears, leave in park and check the level in the hot range. Or something like that. And 5 quarts is a lot of fluid to be adding.
I thought it was a lot of fluid as well, guess I'll wrestle with this dip stick tube warm it up and see what happens, does the transmission have to be at running temp or the motor as well?
