Let's just start with it took 3 hours and there were many readings from the Book of Curse. The top bolt on the PTO cover was catching on the forward cross member. The hole in the cab floor was catching on the E-brake boss on the passenger side. I finally pushed, shoved and convinced it to go through with a chunk of 4X4.
I SAID get out!
Down and out. Rotated 90 so the tail pointed towards the passenger side. I would have thought there would have been plenty of room, but it looks like Ford only intended install when the cab was not mounted.
I'm going to put a small notch in the flange of the forward cross member and it won't be a problem to re-install. Or figure out a low profile fastener solution. Heck, it's only holding a plate on. It doesn't need to be all beefy like it has a job.
