BTS Tunes (problems with hard shift)

Question for the masses, I have Brians tunes from BTS and he can’t seem to get a hard shifting issue resolved with the tunes. Brain has been great to work with and have no issues at all with the level of service he provides. He is having the same issue with hard shifting in his Ex and has been working on the issue for a while now. After talking with Tina he has offered to refund cost of the tunes and chip. So the question is should I stay or should I go? Around town driving is fine, it slams into first when you get on it is the issue. Will also search for a gear between 2<sup>nd</sup> and 3<sup>rd</sup> in the street tunes, tow tunes are fine except for the hard shift into 1<sup>st</sup> gear.

So what are your thoughts? He has had my chip for about 6 months now.

My .02, it isn't working correctly and he is making right by offering the refund. I would take it and try someone else, but that's me...

Agreed.

Do you have a stock trans?

Does the same problem exist with the chip removed and running on the OEM tune?

Yes, I have a stock trans...and yes it shifts fine with out the tuner. So if I do decide to get a refund, who makes a good chip and tunes for the Excursions?

I have bts tunnes and it runs great.
If he can't get it try another I hear Matt at gear head is good.

Likely a tuning issue, but I have seen issues where with the EBPS unplugged it will cause harsh shifts, you might take a look at EBPS readings.

I had the same problem with BTS tunes. Shifting was my problem also. They had my chip for over 6 months and I called and called and I never got my money back, so I had to go elsewhere for tuning. I now have a Hydra with Gearhead and Swamps tuning and have no problems at all and am verry happy. Gearhead tunes are verry mild clean and smoke free, and the Swamps tunes are verry powerful. The Hydra is the way to go. If you don't like something about your tuning you can have a new file sent to your email and downloaded on your chip in minutes from halfway across the country.
