I have a 2000 Ford F250 with 7.3 Diesel that I recently purchased with 276,000 miles. Truck has been running great until you get around 70 MPH then it has a skip to it if using the foot throttle. However, if you use cruise control there is zero skip.
This week, the skip is getting worse at different speed. However, it doesn't skip with cruise control engaged.
I read where this could be an ICP Injection Control Pressure Sensor issue. I checked the pigtail connection to the sensor and there is oil in the connection.
I have ordered a OEM ICP sensor and new pigtail yesterday.
Other than the ICP sensor, are there other items that I can check to possibly resolve this issue?

Thanks.
If its only doing with pedal action and not cruise, suggest you check the Idle Validation Switch (IVS) and Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Potentiometers often get corroded, loose connectivity, and just pain wear out over time.
