Army RET I also looked at that truck on the lemon lot, It sure looks sharp but my son can not take on another debt. You got a good side kick (Rusty) and good luck if you are going to get it.
I'm surprised there are three members here from Smallsville, AL. It's a small world after all.
I drove this about 6-7 weeks ago and made a conditional offer (run it with ScanGauge2 connected). He declined based on my price. Yesterday I received a text saying he'd now accept that offer.
As I don't know diesels AND Rusty earlier offered to ride/bringing his scanner - I accepted this generous offer. The three of us will meet later today.
It has 04 lariat/King Ranch wheels which can sell for a decent price. They have a slightly different backspacing than later 05+ wheels. Truck looks sharp. Good luck with the test drive.
If it is a South Texas truck look for rust out on the undercarrige and hidden spots.
While we don't get much road salts we do have a lot of salt moisture in the air.
Dallas TX area. Using the VIN number I found an old, online dealer ad that shows it for sale, at 177,000 miles.
Current owner says he purchased it from a Texas Dealer 2 1/2 years ago with about 180,000 miles; so these stories matches. Then he put tons of money into it (first picture) before it became a daily driver.
Now he's moving and doesn't want the extra drive expenses. I found him now in a Hummer H3; plus his wife drives something else.
I've driven several prior trucks, some with one half the mileage, but this one seemed the tightest/ quietest of the bunch. Waiting on Rusty A thumb up/down.
Well, that stinks. Just have to keep your eyes peeled. There are quite a few trucks out there, I'm sure yours will pop up eventually. It may even be a dually
Tee-hee-hee, then I really fooled them as this has a bent frame and moldy leather seating.
And if down the road pics of it show up on this site then we'll know who the scoundrel is.
