hey guys, im throwing a set of ladder bars i made on my 76 highboy...my only concern is that the clam that clamps to the axle tube wont be enough strength to hold the axle in place to keep i from sliding up and down from the axle wrap.... let me know if you have any other ideas?..heres a few pics
-Add a gusset plate to the narrower end of the arms. It needs to be strong along its entire length.
-The U-clamps will not exert enough force to prevent the axle from wrapping unless the U-bolt and clamp assembly is welded to the axle. I prefer a rigid mount bolted on the carrier (9-inch) or welded to the axle tubes on both sides of the rotational axes (plural of axis).
