Unhappy Built in TV...Question

I have a 1996 Ford Aerostar with built in TV and VCR.

What a wonderful thing to have in a vehicle!
I do daycare and have four grandkiddies, I record their favorite cartoons or shows for them to watch as we run errends and they love it!

BUT

Since owning the Van (for about a year and a half now), on three past occasions we could ride over a minor bump and the TV would shut off. (kinda funny because the van could of ridden over this same bump twice earlier in the drive, and like I said it is a MINOR bump).

If it shuts off, we cannot turn it back on unless we pull over and shut off the van then restart Van. TV will turn back on when power button is pushed.
This happened only 3x and were spaced out by months. So it was not a problem that just started but a "once in a while" happening.
TV was used almost every time the van was driven. So this was a rare occurance.

However this is a possible warning sign of a problem.
BECAUSE:
Now it will not turn on at all.
The Van had been at the Service station for other problems and when it was returned to me the TV did not work anymore.

The Station had dissconnected the airconditioner per my request of a stalling problem when turning on defrost in the winter cold.

Has anyone out there had simular problems with their TV? ... and if so can anyone tell me what I may be looking at in repairs?
or:
Could a bad fuse cause this?
Wiring - loose wire?
...or is it possible the station disconnected something in the engine compartment along with power to the TV?

I have a feeling if I bring the Van in to have this fixed I will be looking at a high costs in repair...so if someone out there can give me any advice that I could maybe have a friend look at, this would be wonderful.

Built in TV...Question

I had a T.V. in my 95. You are right, they are a wonderful thing to have. The plug in on the back of my television was not the best and when we would go over a bump it would sometimes shut it off. I replaced the plug in and it worked fine after that.
