Maybe this is widely known, but I could not find any thread documenting this:
I learned something today - and it could have been the hard way, but luckily it was not raining or snowing, however it was cold (44 degrees). I was inside working with my fleece on and the key/fob in my pocket, leaning against a table. When I went outside to my truck a few minutes later, I was surprised to see it unlocked, both front windows down and the parking lights on. A friend who was outside in his car at the time waiting for the bar to open, said he saw them go down about 10 minutes prior to me coming outside.
So investigating this further, I figured out that on my '15 F350 the windows roll down when the unlock button is pressed for 10 or so seconds. While this will be a good option to have in the hot summer I'm not so thrilled about it living in Wisconsin snow territory.
I searched this site and could not find where anyone else had documented this- in fact saw threads where it was indicated to be disproved on earlier year models.
My 13 Lariat does it also. My dads 14 F150 STX does not. Not sure if it's trim level related or what. I use it a lot in the summer. I've never leaned on the fob and had the windows go down, I seem to have a thing for leaning on the panic button though.
There is no setting for it according to the manual, you either have it or you don't. You unlock the doors and then within a few seconds hold the unlock button again and the windows go down.
I'd like a remote windows up. Something like hold the lock button and all the windows go up and the sunroof closes. Would be easier than running out in the rain to check

I would love that feature!
The remote does not lower the windows on my '11 Lariat.
You can only activate the function from the productivity screen under settings (Lariat and up?). I love this feature, when its 100 degrees out it's nice to air the truck out. Remote start + Max AC + open windows = nice ride home. Unlock then hold the unlock button down until they go down.
