Is This True?

I read a article that you can lower your driver window with you key fob. Can anyone confirm this? Here is what the article says to do. I saw it on Yahoo.com.

This trick does not work on the 2011F250 or the 2012 Explorer.

If it does work might be nice for people to know.

The trick usually involves pressing the remote's unlock button, releasing it, then pressing it again and holding it down. In some cars, instead of using the remote, you can insert your key in the door lock and turn it clockwise, release, then turn it clockwise again and hold. Turning the key counterclockwise will usually raise the windows back up. Some cars will also include the sunroof as a window in this operation, while some convertibles with automatic tops will shut.

I was just wondering, it said the F150 was one of the few it should work on.

Try just holding down the unlock button when the truck is locked. It might take about 10 or 15 seconds if it does in fact work. I do this on my wife's Infiniti G37...just hold it down for that long and if it is a feature it will unlock and roll the windows down.

I really have no need for this feature...don't know of a time when I would need the front windows rolled down. I sure wish it worked in reverse of holding the lock button for closing it but that would be a safety issue.

Subscribing.
This could be a selling feature for me someday. The wifey's 09 TSX has this feature: rolls down all 4 windows and opens the sunroof and it's a great way to get the hot stale air out of the car on a warm sunny day prior to getting to it. Hers works from about 100', so it does give the breeze time to blow through a little prior to entry as I'm walking up.

Worked on my Benz C300 but had to be a few feet away from the door. Also worked on my Audi A4 and Volkswagen Passat without having to be next to the car. I went out and tried it on my F150 and I can confirm it doesn't work, not for 20 seconds.

I saw this last night. Went right out and tried it on my 2011 F150... NO go.
Then I tried the 2010 Expedition... NO go.
Then I tried the 2012 Edge(daughters)... NO go.

I looked up the owners manual on F150 and it says nothing about that option.

A doesn't work on my 12 F150 nor my wife's 12 Fusion. Not sure how I would use such a feature if my vehicles did have it.

also does not work on my 2012 fx4/luxury pkg, maybe works on higher trim levels, seems like all the hardware is there with body control modules that control every funcion on these things including remote start!

The same for my 2001 Honda Accord. That's one feature that I really miss.

Don't really care as I can just hit my remote start and the A/C takes care of the issue. Steven
