Road noise

I just picked up a 05' F450 Super-Duty it had the rear seat removed and the rear wall, under the window is bare metal. I have all kinds of road noise and dust coming in through the two vents on the back wall. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to FTE.
1)Install dynamat on as much metal inside the cab, especially the doors.

2)Re-install the seat and carpet.

3)Replace the rear tires with michelin straight tread tires.

4)Turn up the radio.

In all seriousness, 19.5" tires are all noisy. You may get some quietness by doing as I suggest above.

I agree,

1)Install dynamat on as much metal inside the cab, especially the doors.

2)cover with carpet.

As far as the dust maybe you can get some small filters a rig something to the vents on the back wall.

450 and 550 are work trucks, there's no comfort put into production, load F tires are screamers even straight line, If your not using it for work you can get load E 19.5's, that would stop alot of the roar.

Are the thin rubber flaps still in the vents on the back Of the cab? If not that why dust/dirt is coming in, if the rubber is missing either buy new vents from the dealer or get thin rubber and cut it to fit the vent and install them

I have had good luck with the rubberized bed liner for inside noise as a option other than dynomat. Do some searches on the vent noise for some options there. Foam or desperate times a towel stuffed in the vent has been done.

Put the interior trim back on the inside of the cab. That will help a lot.
