Has anyone EVER gotten a good sensor from EBAY that was one of the cheap ones? It just doesn't make sense that the Ford EBP is 100+ and the ford part number on EBAY is 30. I guess I can assume the cheap one's are Chinese and the ford ones are Mexico?
when I look at those things considering them, I think of the worst case scenario, which would be either the ebp sensor shorting out and then loosing the vref circuit in downtown town traffic with the family, trailer and she is on her menstrual cycle. it's worth the extra 70 pretty quick.
If I'm going to buy a replacement part on eBay I look for a Ford dealer who is marketing the parts, Tasca as an example.
Both the company I worked for and Ford, through the Ford personnel I knew, had many issues of counterfeit products that looked exactly like the real part, and that included the packaging. You had to get real crafty in order to place a marker on your own product so you knew to decline it in warranty.
