I havent done much investigating yet but my power steering is acting weird. When i turn it starts, then sticks (As if steering was manual), then goes and then the same trying to straighten back. Could my belt be slipping on the pump? I checked the fluid levels and they are good and havent heard any belt noises but im just trying to think it through.
I had an issue with a P/S gearbox once. It was acting in this manner as well. Come to find out someone tried to adjust the play in it, via the nut and set screw on the top side, of what I should tell you was a Saginaw P/S gearbox. So when I was having problems, I read a lot about this and this can be very dangerous, meaning driving down the road, go to turn and the gearbox locks up....in the ditch you go. Not sure but wanted to mention it. I replaced the gearbox!

Jeff, Raise the front wheels off the ground, turn the steering wheel coast to coast about 20 times. Let it down check the fluid, and take it around the block to see if it made any difference. This will bleed air from the system, and doesn't cost you a penny.
