Servo?

Steve...the ABS sensor wound up being open..should have read 20K. I replaced the sensor, and the cruise started working for about 5 miles and shut off. Couldn't get it to work again. Figured it was the pressure switch on the front of the MC, but wasn't sure it was the correct sensor by definition. The connector shows arcing, and is somewhat melted. Question...how could the meltdown on the connector take out the ABS sensor?

Which connector - the pressure switch? It provides power to the cruise servo, so a LOT of voltage spikes might backfeed thru the PSOM to the ABS sensor, but not likely without killing the PSOM first. It sounds coincidental.

It must be coincendental, as I can't see the pressure switch switch taking out the ABS sensor with 5 vdc spikes...AC maybe. Anyway, I can't find the switch at any of the local parts houses, so I'll have to go to the Ford house tomorrow. I'll keep you in the loop, and hope to correct this problem without too many more questions.
