Hi guys. Ive got a 78 f150 2x4 351m stock through and through. Been chasing a no start issue for a month now. Started with an ignition issue and now im stuck with my carb flooding my intake out ive rebuilt the carb and set the float and it still floods the left side of the intake out which im guessing is the reason I cant get it to fire. Its the 2bbl 2150 my question being what would cause it to flood out like this?
Make sure you put that little metal/rubber oring under the needle seat as well!
If there is any trash at all in the venturi it will cause a steady drip and flooding (at idle)
Iv generally learned that if you don't soak these things overnight, scrub every piece with a toothbrush and blast each cranny with 100psi the rebuild will be in vain
Ill recheck the float and needle seat when I pull the carb today. It was doing the same thing before the rebuild which is why k did it ill rip her apart scrub and soak it overnight and blow it out maybe theirs a speck of crap stuck in there
