could any of you be so kind as to decode my warranty plate on my 65 F250? I also wonder, what could I find as a replacement for the 1V carb? I don't want to buy another intake manifold though.

VIN: F25BR673320 / WB: 129 / COLOR: L / MODEL: F250 / BODY: 381 / TRANS: F / AXLE: 24 / MAX GVW LBS: 07500 / CERT NET HP: 150 / RPM:3600 / DSO: Omitted
You omitted some of the info, I was able to fill in most of it, except the DSO code, that when decoded, refers to a specific city and state.
F25 = F250 2WD
B = 300 1V I-6.
R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant.
673320 = 1965, assembled April 1965.
129" Wheelbase.
L = Holly Green.
F250 2WD, 7,500 lbs. GVWR / duh not! Besides the F250 2WD MODEL code, there's also an F251 2WD MODEL code: F250 2WD, 4,800 lbs. GVWR / F250 4WD's have different codes/GVWR's.
381: 3 = Medium Green Crush Vinyl & Medium Green Wicker Pattern Vinyl / 81 = 81A Standard Cab.
DSO: Omitted. This refers to what city & state the Ford District Sales Office was located in, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.
Since your truck was assembled in San Jose, the DSO code could be: 71 (Los Angeles/SoCal); 72 (San Jose/NorCal); 73 (SLC); 74 (Seattle); 75 (Phoenix).
74 = Seattle WA also includes vehicles sold in ID, OR & WY
Thanks for the information! it says 72 on it for the DSO, which makes sense considering I am from the SF bay area. I am just wondering, if the original t18 was swapped for a C6 automatic, do you think a T18 could swap back in without needing a new or different driveshaft to the dana 60? I am not sure if the length of the transmission would be that different between the two transmissions. I also know that my ford has the provisions for a clutch pedal assembly left under neath the dash though, so that should make things a little easier.
