Hey guys, I have a few questions about my wife's 08 F150 with the 4.6. From time to time the check engine light pops on. It is usually when the wife is by herself (go figure), but recently it has been on a lot more. When she got in from work today, she said it was on so I ran out and plugged in my code reader. These are the two codes I came up with:
P0193 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor High Input - FF (Above Maximum Threshold)
P115E - Throttle Actuator Control, Throttle Body Air Flow Trim at Maximum Limit
There is really no driveabilty issues, but sometimes when idling I have notice a slight miss.
Any ideas on what to do? Should I just replace the Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor?
just a thought... the fuel pressure is controlled by an electric module bolted to the rear axle on the drivers side of the pumpkin....... They have been known to fail... Ever had that replaced ?
I have a 2008 F250 5.4 I'm gettin gate P115E code. I just checked my Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and it's a 4-pin connection which no one seems to have heard of. I have 5 volts on the signal 1 and 2. 0 on the ground. And the pin connected to my accelerator reads 1.3 volts at rest. Every 3 pin out there says it should be at .3 - .5 volts. So does that mean my TPS is broken since I'm getting 1.3 volts at rest?
