Need new VSS

Howdy -

The ABS light came on on my dash last week and based on my internet research, the most likely culprit is the rear VSS sitting on top of the diff. I've read that this is a $20 part, but most of the places I have checked it is $60+. Does anyone have a good part number for what I need? Truck is a 2006 F250.

Will this work?

That sure looks like it. Will it actually fit? Probably. I can't tell from the photo, but it looks right.

I don't think that the one you posted a picture of is the right one.
I think this is the one you need, but please verify before purchase:

By the way "OEM" is a parts manufacturer. The part in your picture is not OEM Ford.

Thanks for the heads up. I actually just found one on closeout at Rock Auto for $12 including shipping! I've never ordered from these guys before, but I've always heard good things about them, so hopefully this is exactly what I need. I'll let y'all know how it goes.

Well, turns out the one from Rock Auto has the wrong electrical connector on it, so it's going back. Also, how the heck do y'all get these things to seat in the diff? I can't get any leverage on it because of the tight space, and tightening the bolt down just pulls the wing down, not the whole unit. What's the trick?

Oil on the O-ring and make sure that the hole is clean and you
have the right part.

I put the old one back in and never did get it to seat properly. Need to order the right part now before attempting again.
