1995 Engine Compatability

I have found a reasonably priced 1995 engine. Is there anything on that motor that would be compatible with my e99? If so, what? Even some parts might make it worth buying.

Thanks,
Mark

I can't speak for the 95 engines, but from what I understand a 1997 engine is very compatible with a few parts swaps.

I'm hoping that the block, heads, turbo, crank and cam are at least the same. Forged rods and injectors would be a plus. And exhaust manifolds too.

Called and talked to Clay. It sounds like it would work with some stuff swapped out or make a great parts engine. I'll take a look at it and might have the stuff that doesn't match for sale.

I'm not sure what you want to know but if I don't cover it let me know.
Block, cam, crank, heads, oil pan and driver's side exhaust manifold the same. Forged rods. Smaller injectors but cores are good and the right ones for mine will fit right in. Turbo and HPOP are different. I'm looking at exhaust manifold and heads in particular as they can crack and having to buy one when you need it can be hard to find and costly.

Thank you, that's what I was thinking also. Just wanted to make sure.

To use a 94.5 or 95 engine (the correct way) you'll have to take it down to a long block and swap all parts over including front cover
