I can tell you that the OEM Ford bottom ball joint bolts weren't at 150, more like 100. That is why I asked! Making it to 300k living on a limerick road is EXCELLENT. I have had it aligned twice in 14 years and the drivers-side camber sleeve still has the tab on it so it has never been touched. The passenger-side has though. Thanks!
Got their premium ball joints that can be greased, and they are nice. Everything turned out great. Alignment tomorrow. Repacked and checked bearings, changed brake shoes. Things are nice-n-tight now. Cost for everything $270!
I had to remove new damaged ball joints that previous owner installed with improper torque specs. used Moog specs that came in box & very happy with results.

To tight or to loose? Getting it aligned now! They said NAPA Chassis is made by Spicer/Dana. The NAPA guy said they are made by Federal Mogul. Either way they are both good companies and you can tell the ball joints are made well.
150 ft/lbs seems like a lot to me when the OEM's were around 100 ft/lbs after 300,000 miles. The alignment shop finally did change out my driver's-side camber sleeve. It was still the original OEM with the tab still attached. My oldest son drove it last night and said the steering, brakes and front-end tightness was like a new vehicle. We are really happy. I would have purchased Moog but we live in a very rural area and we would have had to wait. The NAPA Chassis brand is of equal or better quality to the OEM, and they are greaseable. We will just have to wait and see, hopefully 14 more years!
