Hey guys,
Normally I'm in the '90's truck section, but my dad has a '67 F-100 that has now been upgraded to a 5.0, AOD, power brakes and disc in front also new wiring harness. He wants to add AC to it but I'm not to sure which company will work best since the motor is not original. Any help on which way to go would be great, Thanks.
Blaine
Old Air products is what I used. Classic auto air has good reviews as well. I'm sure there will be others that will chime in with some good recommendations.
Then this complicates the matter because there were various V-belt A/C compressors used, which means there were various engine V-belt pulley combinations that would have been possible.
I can't say about the other company's, but I used Classic auto air in mine and it is a lot of mixed year parts and home made PS and compressor mounts, and they were great working with me to tailor their system to my truck.
Thanks for all the input guys. I'll just do come calling around and explain what's going on. By the sounds of it they should* have a bracket for us.
Im doing ac in my 67 with an 86 5.0 block also. I Ordered a kit from nostalgic ac parts. Here is a pic of my compressor bracket and the compressor mounted.
Also, in terms of air flow, does it blow out pretty hard? We're in SoCal and summer days are aroun95-105 and its my pops daily
I'm not sure. I haven't finished. I'm in the so cal desert so I hope so. The one thing you will need is a double pulley for the water pump if you mount it where I mounted mine.

We're running double pulleys and dual belts on it. Just an alternator at the moment but piece of mind. Where about in the desert are you? I'm in San Bernardino.
