So I got my kit in from Nostalgic AC Parts. Looks to be pretty well made and plug and play for the most part. Only thing not included in the kit was a double pully for the water pump. They were VERY helpful and responsive during the ordering process and said that they would answer any tech questions in the same manner. I'll post installation pics if anyone is interested.
I've considered taking the under dash A/C from our 64 dodge sedan and putting it in the truck, but I do ok without. I try to park in the shade or go after dark in the summer.
Im not that brave. It gets 120* plus here in the summer at times and as you can see its a black truck. I do ok if the sun isn't up but anything past 9am is a no go. I'm getting to be a sissy that way in my old age.
Yep! Same here. I sold my boat because the river got too hot. Lol! I will head north come retirement.
I'm there with ya, except I bought my place in NE WA but not ready to retire. I guess I did it backwards. I hear ya Roper on the heat thing near us. I have the set up but my R12 unit failed so I need to save my $$ for a new one. I will be a rough summer for sure this year.
that's a good looking truck ive got a 67 short wide ive been working on. Been debating on which AC company to go with. If you don't mind how much does that kit costs to your door.
Nice truck. I need to see if I can get my system converted to the new freon. However, I will be taking the truck to the UP of MI where air is not really needed. But, Al Gore says global warming is here so I might need it. Yeah, right......chris

I'm a long way off from retirement myself. I'm already making plans. Thats how much I've come to despise the heat. Lol!
