I'd look for a pinched wire for the tcc solenoid. Idk that particular trans but on 4l60es I've seen it happen

Ok, got my problem solved, solenoid mount was made different from oem, so it was contacting the solenoid body and giving me a constant ground, replaced with oem, problem solved, drove it roughly 150 miles from SW LA to the Houston area today, should be able to post MPGS sometime tomorrow. Also , has anyone else who did the swap had issues with dipstick tube leakage? Mine is dripping when not running and that's where I traced it back to, it has a little tension on it from the block being wider, but it's not in a bad bind, I replaced the o-ring and even added a touch of RTV, but to no avail.

Awesome! Glad to hear it made the trip, did it seem to run better down the road than the 5.0 or did you drive it that much before the swap?

I really didn't drive it that much before the swap, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I kept up with my wife's '14 expedition on I-10 between beaumont and Houston (75mph speed limit), and she don't cut it any slack on the interstate. So, given the intended use of the truck, I think it did quite well. When I fill it up I'll post mpg.

Edit: 12 mpg running over 75mph for over 100 miles on the first tank, still not bad for 35s and 4.10s.
