Don't quote me on this but i swear I read somewhere that you can use a flat tappet cam with roller lifters and it will be fine but not vice versa.

I don't think you can do that. I think the profiles on the lobes are cut differently to allow solid lifters to rotate in their bores.

Thanks for the help guys. I am so inexperienced with V8 and I should have asked more questions instead of assuming..... I appreciate the help.
