96 302 f150 engine problems

Was driving to work 2 days ago, and a stop sign came out of no where and I slammed on my brakes, well when I go to pull away, the trucks shakes, rpms drop, then it dies and wouldn't start back up, tow back to the house,, come back to it the next day and it starts up. At first it seemed like it wasn't getting fuel , does it on both tanks, and I changed the fuel filter 3 months ago,, anyways now it starts up, but it still does the same thing,, I try to rev it up,, it'll rev alright the first time I touch the gas pedal, but the second time I try to rev it again it dies,, when I leave it sit at an idle,, about every 10 seconds itll cut out and almost stall out, then it picks up again.. 3 months ago I replaced the spark plugs, distributor cap, fuel filter and a temperature sending unit ( it was having trouble starting and was running very rich) ... And about a month ago it starting getting a misfire when it would shift into overdrive at about 45mpg,, but you couldn't fell the misfire after you got to 65mpg,, not sure if Its related to my current problem or not,, I'm thinking it the coil or a sensor,, what do you guys think? I haven't done a fuel pressure test yet,, and I'm planning on digging out the timing gun to sell if it's still in time

You tried to read codes on this?

Testing is down the page, lots of other info as well.

You really need to run down any misfire, as those will cause a cat to overheat and melt, which will cause another can of worms.
