Brake Controller Problem

I bought a Tekonsha 90195 P3 Electronic Brake Control from Amazon to tow my 30' travel trailer. It's wired in correctly, and when there's nothing attached, it says "no power - verify brakes" which is expected. However, when the trailer is hooked up, I get the same message. I have no control over the trailer brakes, but they work great and stop this beast no problem.

The most common problem is the seven pin connection between your truck and towable. I recently had the same problem when I switched controllers when my old one finally died. I had use contact enhancer and replug several times before my P3 could find my fiver.

I agree with Steve. Take that 7 pin connector apart and inspect all the pin and connections.
