Replace output shaft speed sensor
HI, This is my first time using this site but have read the forums many times and have been able to trouble shoot my work van quite a few times. I just had a reading done and it states my output shaft speed sensor is bad. The tranny wont come out of first. Actually it almost doesnt even go in first. I can only drive it 20 mph tops and it takes me almost 3 mins to get to that speed. Anyways I am trying to replace this sensor and honestly I do not know what it looks like nor where to find it. I went to the part store and they have 3 different sensors under that title all are a bit different. Is there anyone on here that would have answers? Please HELP!?

No one can really help you if you don't post some info in the vehicle your working on, at least the year, model.

It's on top of the trans, near the rear of the trans. It is held in by one bolt, I think it takes a 10 mm wrench, but I'm not certain.
Once you have the new one installed come back here and we can help you determine what's wrong with your truck. The speed sensor isn't causing this.
