New Whip!

I was looking for a new truck to bring down to Iowa with me next year for school, and I finally found one!

1988 F250
7.3 IDI
5 speed
4wd
Super Cab/long bed
186k miles
4" lift

I did, in a sense, buy it sight unseen. I'm still in Iowa, but my dad went to look at it and test drive it for me. It needs a few small things, but runs and drives really well. Here are a couple of the owner pictures

He has a new fender to replace the one that is damaged, and I'll need to get new tires for it. In the mean time I'll swap the 35" BFGs on my highboy to the diesel.

But I picked it up for only $2500, so I feel like it was a good deal. I'll be retrieving it on Friday when I fly home

badass looking truck, and nice for $2500, good deal. I love the split back windows on the earlier models, my 1997 does not have this. not sure what years they stopped doing it. Do you know what type of lift is in the truck, it looks really nice with the extra 4 inches

'92 was the first model year that Ford allowed an unobstructed view through the back side window of SuperCabs. And if you couldn't guess, I'm not a fan of the split window. But to each his own

I personally do like the look of the split windows, at least on the bricknose trucks.

As far as the lift is concerned, I do not know what it is. Once I get back home and get a chance to look at the truck, I'll let you know.

Any (within reason) 4x4 that you and start and drive is worth $2500.

That's a lot of hardware for under three grand!

I believe 1996 was the last year for those back windows.

Nope, '91. The '92 - '96/7 didn't have the bar coming down the middle of the window making it look split (the '80 - '91 still had a single piece of glass).
