Morning everyone.

Looks like a good weather weekend. Maybe not for the amount of pollen out there. Enjoy if you can. It's liquor weekend.

EX / Super Duty Running Board Reinforcements

Mornin' All!

Wondering if anyone would have a line on the Excursion running board Reinforcement panel that goes under each plastic covering of the running boards?

Mine have both finally rotted out about 1/2 way back (under the front doors mostly of course).

I know that there is the Ford part YC3Z16A464AA still available for a little over $100 each, but was looking to see if anyone had boars they had removed or swapped out where they would be willing to get rid of the reinforcement pieces?

Also wondering, has anyone mocked up their own version of this part?

Thnx- Mike

Tom might know what you're referring to, but I definitely don't. Good luck with the search.

GOOD morning everyone. It's gonna be a warm one today.

The Mountaineer looks really clean Justin! Almost like it hasn't been driven through more than a dozen northern winters.

Josiah's right, I know what you're talking about. But I really don't know where you'd find them. I flew to Birmingham to buy my Excursion to avoid dealing with rust issues.

I should not be allowed to spend any amount of time on craigslist. I have been a little on the frustrated side with the truck recently. Mostly in the work/reward category. I keep looking at the things that need done and running it through my mind in terms of how much it's actually worth. Came across another 86, but 250, single cab that needs a little work for $1k. Shouldn't have seen that...dang it! Miss that 86 I had.

Good morning guys.

Congrats on the new ride Justin. It looks good.

I put all new calipers, pads, and new braided stainless brake lines on my truck this weekend.
After almost 9 years and 100k it was time.

Good morning everyone.

Spent most of my Saturday working on the trailer. Got brakes installed and wiring completed. That was fun.

Morning everyone.

Justin like the Mountaineer. Nice clean look. Dad can't complain about this one. Nice ride.

Tom I got tired just looking at all the stuff you did this weekend. I can't get over how neat the work looks, and that makes it look simple but we both know there is a lot of work to get it to that point.

Saturday was our 2:00 bash. Started at 8 in the morning diced tomato's and chicken breast and a bunch of spice into a croak pot. Cooked for 6 hours then shredded the chicken back into the pot. Mean while made pudding shots with Vodka, Harvey's Bristol Cream, milk and instant pudding. Made about 50 and into the frig. Chicken dish was a hit everyone hit it for 2nd and 3rd's. There was Cherry peppers stuffed with buffalo mix with cheese. Fantastic! Venison sausage, Salads, cheese plates, Then came Fireball shots with a cream vodka. Wow! At 5 Steak tip seared on the fire, 2 6 lb. chickens cooked in beer. Ribs and pork chops. And assorted salads. Desert was a chocolate cake real moist. Last was the band playing from 7 to 10 Real good singer pop, to rock to country. the hole gambit as we drank root beer floats. Made from root beer vodka, whip cream vodka, and a third vodka that was very creamy and strong, ( I don't know the name) Most people had 6 or 7 of the shots.

Thanks John! I took my time with each step, wiring's never been one of my strengths and I didn't want to screw it up. Had to redo one of the brakes after I realized I installed the left-side brake assembly on the right side of the trailer. My 7-way pigtail was also wired wrong from the factory which made for an additional headache. Probably spent about 7 hours in total, but I think it should last.

Good morning, everybody! I'm really happy with the Mountaineer, it has some minor scrapes and scratches but the PO maintained it very well. I do have a noisy wheel bearing on the front right wheel, so the bearing is on order from Rock Auto.
