Goodmorning & Happy Thursday.
Thanks for your input on Kaedons situation. I agree, she needs to find a new career. Yesterday was the last day of school for Kaedon & she was teased for being held back. She went to the office to give a statement to the Principal & was told by Mary, one of the office staff that she had heard my voicemail & told her to "Get out!" Kaedon set the written statement on the counter & left.
I can't believe the way they treat students. I wish I had been there. I didn't know about it until lastnight & I was livid!
I never received a return call yesterday from the Principal or Governor Sandoval...Grr!!!
I hope to put her in a different school next year.
Donna, I would go down to that school personally and "take care of business" I am sure just because school has ended for the kids, doesn't mean the teachers don't still show up to finish off the paperwork. There is no reason for them to treat your daughter the way they did. I don't know if legal action is possible, but I would look into it.
Morning everyone. I hope you all have a great day.
Donna, the teachers and staff will still be there for about 2 weeks after the students have finished. They might be on shortened days but will still have personnel at the school.

Good morning everyone,
Yeah, it's Wednesday!
The week is almost over.
I get to talk to Kaedon Principal & hopefully the School board or someone high up. Kaedons teacher told her (with attitude)
"You might as well not show up tomorrow knowing that you're not being promoted."
Really? I wonder what the School board will say about what she said. Besides, I believe it's against the law. Aren't teachers supposed to be supportive of a childs attendance & not belittle a student for failing? Kaedon has come home crying numerous times throughout the school year because of things her teacher has said to her, not to mention when Kaedon would go up & ask for help or ask her to explain it differently, the teacher would tell her to go sit down & get her work done. So, Kaedon would turn in incomplete work & get Ds or Fs because she didnt understand.
Oh well, im sure when I talk to the Principal, Kaedon is going to get all the blame for not paying attention in class & so on!
Enjoy your day.
Donna, I missed this yesterday I'm sorry. As you may know my wife is a Special Ed teacher in Nye County NV. I read her your post & she asked two questions. "How has she done with other teachers, & in past years? If she is having trouble understanding from other teachers, (but not been treated as this one teacher has treated her,) has she been tested for any learning disabilities?" She stated, "that a teacher should never treat a student as you described. That you need to go to the Principal to start with to get this addressed." She also stated, "this teacher needs to be called on the carpet. There is no excuse, reason, or justification for a teacher to ever talk or treat a student like that."
Your wife is right Craig. Even if the teacher does not like a student for any reason they should damned well stifle that crap and treat all the students equally, with dignity and respect.

Most teacher's teach because it is a passion. It sure isn't for the money. But there are those that shouldn't be teaching. It sounds like this teacher needs to find another occupation. My wife stated after being put down & told what Donna stated, that it is amazing this child continued to ask for help. Her heart goes out to this child & hopes Donna will take quick action to bring this to a head. Remember Donna you can file a lawsuit against the school district, Principal & teacher, if the Principal doesn't want to take you seriously. Even the threat of a lawsuit might cause a different attitude of the powers to be.
