PCM/TCM
I having transmission issue , tow haul flashing , only 3 gear , no back up lights , no start after it warn , idles up after its started , I replaced the TRSensor in the transmission , checked the plugs behind fuse panel I was told it's the tcm / pcm , if I turn key on after it hit and start it manually it starts right up , now mine is a title 2004/ build date is 9/03 which I told only 03 pcm will work, so I have a 03 f250 6.0 automatic aswell , can I put that PCM in the f450 to see if it's the issue , or is there a way to test my PCM thx Ben Gotti

To fix this you're going to need to get the codes read. A good independent shop or a Ford dealer can do it. The places tha tread codes free CANNOT read these codes.
If you can't get the codes read about all you can do is swap parts until you get lucky. While a PCM can fail, it is very rare.
How do you know it starts in third gear? That would be a very unusual failure mode.

No the engine does not start in 3 rd gear , I ment when I put it in drive it takes off in 3rd gear , I had ford read the codes with IDS and when we drove it hooked up 3 rd gear was all that showed , no shifting at all , reverse does work aswell , the guy said after replacing the transmission range sensor that it was the PCM /TCM loosing a ground , so it appears ford is guessing also , and of course they can't tell me what wires do what lol ,
