There are so many options for in-tank fuel pumps and I'm not sure which I need.
How do I determine which tank configuration I have? I see all kinds of names like side-mount, mid ship, center, aft-axle and rear tanks; and several different capacities.
I would consider what I have to be the side-mount and rear tanks (dual tank, 8 foot bed, 133" wheelbase).
Right now I'm not going to bother with the front tank, but I do need the rear tank to be functional. That's the pump I'm looking for at this time.
Is this the one I should buy? It does not specify tank size or position.
Have not heard of side-mount unless they are talking about a saddle tank or the frame mounted high pressure pump.
The aft-axle and rear tank are the same pump.
The mid-ship & center tank would be the tank fwd of the axle.
I do not see a year in that link so I can not tell you if that one fits your truck or not.
Yep, that schematic makes sense - so is the pump assembly for the rear tank the same for all different variations of rear tank?
There are 17 gallon, 18 gallon, 19 gallon, and 38 gallon options? Having never actually filled the tank from Empty to Full I wouldn't know what the actual capacity is. I know it's not the 38 because that would be pretty obviously large.

No it is not. The length of the hanger is different. If it is too long the unit will not go in. If it is too short you will not be able to use all of the fuel.

I do not know on your truck but would guess a 18 or 19 gallon tank.
