Well, after 10 months of my 6g upgrade. My 140 amp alt shot craps. I installed the 6g upper dual alternator upgrade last june. While driving tonight noticed volts on scangauge reading 12.7 while driving. Headed straight to Oreilly's with my receipt. Counterman swapped my 6g to 3g alternator since he didn't have my replacement 6g in stock. *Kudos to Drew at Oreilly's for the swap) I already had the pigtail in the glove box. (6g to 3g cinversion in the truck) so in installed the large case 3g tonight. Wasn't able ti swap my 58mm pulley yet for I have to be up at 4:30.
Currently seeing 14.0 while driving. Should see better numbers after my smaller pulley install this weekend. Anyway. Anyone sittling on the fence about this upgrade. Its a breeze. 3G bolts right in place with no problems.
Just FYI. I will note that my 140 amp 6g was from china ( As most I looked at tonight) My 3g was from Mexico. (First i seen lately). Hope i get better servixe out of my 3G???
#3276582 for a new alternator. 130 amp. From Oreilly's.

Maintaining 14.0 at idle without my smaller pulley.
