Explorer throttle cable

Explorer throttle cable

I'm looking for a throttle cable for an Explorer with a 5.0. I'm Swapping out my trucks 302 for a 351, and going to run a Mustang style intake. I understand the Lightning and 5.0 Explorer throttle cables will work with this setup. Anyone know where either could be found, or if someone sells them?

A 5.0 (liters) and a 302 (cubic inches) are the same engine. So couldn't you use your original throttle cable?

I'm not sure. I've read from searching about this subject, that I'll need to use either a Lightning or Explorer throttle cable. I haven't got to the point of seeing what might work, just been searching for others who've made this change, and thats what I've come up with. I just came across a thread where someone used their Bronco cable with a Lightning bracket, and said it works great. They also said the Bronco and F150 cables were the same?

Oh, sorry. I missed the distinction between ab Explorer throttle cable and an F-150 throttle cable.
