Thanks for this info. I will give this stuff a try.
Some additional information gets over looked on the Opti-Lube page. Shows how much it really improves the diesel. Its been posted before so you may have seen it.
I use Motorcraft mainly because I don't trust the Cetane levels in local fuel. Really don't need the anti gel down here.
I might be on a limb but i would be more worried about the right lubrication in the fuel, i personally think the whole cetane thing is over rated. In my experience cetane even in high performance diesel engines does not do much for end performance, no where near as one gets in octane levels in gas. I think the right lube will help make the fuel system last and wear much better and cetane level may be a concern in old diesel that has started to break down but thats about it.

I just ordered Opti-Lube Summer+, at their suggestion. I really don't need an anti-gel, but wanted lubricity and Cetane boost (old habits) their rep said that is probably the best all around product for this area anyway. We'll see. Has anyone tried RevX?
As far as Cetane levels are concerned, Ford recommends Cetane levels to be 45 for all Powerstroke engines, IIRC. Not sure what local fuel has....
