I am just in the middle of the install of my new intake. The instructions for the fel-pro valley pan gasket say to use a light coating of sealer around the ports. All I can find at the parts store is either Permatex high tack spray, or Permatex #3 Aviation Form-a-gasket sealer (brush on). Both say they will seal metal surfaces and are resistant to gasoline.
Thanks, I figured either should work, just wanted a second opinion. In Tom Monroe's book he just installs the gasket dry and the Ford Service manual says the same.
Everything was all buttoned up yesterday, I just need to fab up a new fuel line when I have a chance to go to the parts store.
