89 Ranger auto trans 2.9 EFI
truck jerks on the freeway under a load-kind of hesitates
I checked out intermitten and reads okay!! Runs really bad in overdrive on freeway.
Help!! I can't figure it out!!

sounds like a fuel pressure problem...change the fuel filter first.....if not the problem...check fuel pressure both cranking and running. When were the last set of plugs put in or a major tune up done ?

sounds like an arcing plug wire. spray the plug wires with water and see if you can get the engine to skip. if it skips after you spray then most likely the wires are shot. let us know what you find.
