I have a 1995 f-250 7.3 liter diesel engine. Truck starts fine and runs good for a while and then it will stall. I pull over and after a couple of attempts it will start and run fine for a while. I have changed the fuel filter and put fresh fuel in but it still stalls.
Could be the CPS or it could be the IPR. Next time it stalls pour water over the IPR and see if it starts right back up. If so replace it. It is the coil and you have to buy the hole IPR. If not change the CPS, it's cheap and see what happens. Report back. It doesn't run rough when started dose it? That could be the valve cover harness loose or even burnt pins.
Also next time it stalls open the fuel drain, put a container under it and cycle the key to see if you get a good strong stream of fuel out of it. If not it's probably time for the Hutch mod. Seems this has been a popular issue lately.
