Another thing I noticed over the 06. I always reclined the seat back as far as it would go with the manual lever . Fast Now its power recline and I still can't see the hitch.
Managed to get mine out this weekend. Went with the 2 person suggestion, I hit the buttons and had the wife yank on it. It bounced off the headliner, but we got it out. Also noticed that the rear center one was really blocking my view of the hitch, so they are now both in a closet where they can no longer annoy me. Thanks guys.
After numerous attempts at removing the rear headrests, to increase visibility, following all the helpful comments, I grabbed 2 large vise-grips from the garage and preceded to use them to hold the tabs in while I pulled up on the headrest. Job done.
Once you guys told me about the second release button, mine popped right out. Now, I don't have to fool with flipping the console up when I need to access the switches for my emergency lights and siren, plus the headrest was wreaking havoc on my siren unit.

Looks like my old Federal PA300 Siren. I had Waaaaaay too much fun with in the old days. I was surprised to see that Federal still made the 300 series.

That's actually a Grote siren- I don't remember the model number.
