Steering Damper
Hey guys. Quick question: I have some steering slop in the box. I've put all new parts in the steering itself, and adjusted the adjusting screw on the box. However, my steering box is just on its last leg. Will a steering damper help take the slop out until I can afford a red head box, or am I doomed to a wandering truck?

I have personally had many of these trucks and have never seen one too far gone. That bad boy must have had a lot of cranking through the years..
I agree to go for a new box, it must be very unsafe if its been adjusted and is still sloppy

It's good. The only reason I know it is the box is if I rotate the steering shaft right where it enters the box (after the rag joint) by hand, I get about 1/8th of a turn before the pitnam arm moves...
