I installed one in an F-150 a few years ago for a co-worker. He bought it at AutoZone and it started growling about 18 months later. Rebuilding them isn't too difficult, depending on your mechanical aptitude. I've rebuilt a couple of Subaru pumps and a Honda. Probably spent less than $10.00 total on o-rings and bearings. I've yet to rebuild a Super Duty pump, however.
When I replaced my pump I went OEM. I didn't want to deal with a rebuild so just bought a new unit (plus I'd never done one and couldn't afford the down time if I screwed it up).
When I was researching a replacement I learned that they are all remanufactured units. You can save some money buy getting an aftermarket one without a reservoir but I'm not sure how to swap that between units.
Since the aftermarket ones with a reservoir were going to cost me about the same as an OEM one I went with the one that I knew was going to be a perfect fit.
