Lifted my excursion today, went with some ats x codes for the front, and made some 1-3/8" lift shackles. Zone offroad 4" tapered block in rear, new u bolts all around, new bilstein 5100s on all 4 and a bilstein steering stabilizer shock.
Was hoping for 2" lift all around.
Got my 2" in the back, front lifted about 3-3/4", has about a .5" rake right now I'm really hoping my front springs sag a bit.
Still have to shim my front bumper, and install my n fab prerunner bar and lights.
Hoping to fit some 325 80 16 or at minimum 35 12.5s.
Need some cutouts in the future also.. Cladding is starting to take a beating. Cutout the "bash bar" or whatever there calling it
Truck currently has 285s on and there looking pretty small now, anyone think 325 80s would fit?
I may change to the ..c codes? I think they are?(for rear) If the fronts don't sag on their own.. If they drop an inch I'll be happy with the height..give it a month and see what happens I'm thinking..could always make some shorter front shackles too doesn't take any time at all
You were looking to get 2" of lift and went with X codes AND longer shackles? I don't know what motor you have but X codes alone on a V-10 will gain about 2.75" of lift. I doubt that they will settle very much at all, start looking at those new rear C or B codes!
I run with front X codes with an additional leaf for 3 7/8" of lift and fit 305/70R18Es (35.28" tall and 12.8" wide) just fine, what are the dimensions of the 325/80R16s you are looking at?
It's a 7.3 psd, they're falken wild peak work out to 36.3x12.8 cheapy cheapy at 277 a tire would you be able To take some pics with your setup from the side and full lock in the front? Thanks !
Mostly wanted to ditch the front lower valence and ended up having to torch all the bolts out of the blocker beam as they were already seized.. And I mean if the trucks up 6-8" after tires and lift over factory size just how effective is the blocker beam at that point? Just a useless piece of steel imo. I don't think I'm smarter than an engineer just my personal opinion
