Purchased a 1994 F350 that had sat for several years. There is a strong urine smell being emitted through the A/C-heater vents.

What would be the best way to deal with this issue? Is there a cabin filter? I imagine the air intake would be by the hood, is this correct?

 

air intake is through the cowl.

in the body shop we used to mix lysol with water and spray it down into the cowl while the ac was on. it would dilute the dried urine and get rid of the smell, but we would usually have to do it a few times get rid of the smell completely.

 

Who'd you **** off? Or who did the previous owner **** off? That's a famous trick...

I have personally used the odoban product and works very well. Have a dog that used to mark his territory before he was fixed. After he pee I'd clean it with odoban he would stop for a couple to few day's. It has an enzyme eliminator in it, and that's what you need.

 

My truck sat for several years also, and when changing out my blower motor for a safety i found mice excrement in the airbox. Best thing to do is just clean it out and disinfect the airbox.
