i bought some stainless steel vent shades for my van.i am disappointed in them because they only cover the flat top part of the window.can someone recommend better ones.plastic is ok.also any rain guards for the sliding windows?
If those from O'reillys are like the ones I have from Advance, they go under the weather stripping. BE CAREFUL. I put mine on 17 years ago and today the rubber is so hard, I don't think I could get them off without damaging the rubber.
Put on WeatherTech 14 years ago, still like new. Tough, no scratches, no cracks even in sub zero weather.
spray the window slide grooves yearly with a silicone spray. works well on the silicone foam rubber door seals also. keeps everything soft and pliable, protects against the sun
Great thread, and thanks for the feedback 96_4wdr.
We sell both WeatherTech and '303' brand products at work. I was curious about WeatherTech's window deflectors. Everything else they sell is top of the line. As for the 303 protectant, also top of the line stuff!
The weathertech vent shades. They stay in place going thru the car wash? Sidenote, the cat rides in the Aerostar?
Mine do, but the car wash doesn't clean the underside of them or the part of the window they cover. Sidenote, never could get my cat to ride. He was always pacing and howling and tried to escape every time I opened the door.
Oh, you mean the one in the window? It's a silhouette.
