Trans Issue HELP

What the truck dose is ..

Start the truck up and diver her away all is good. Then Some times when I get to a stop sign and I get on the gas to go again I have to rev her up to close to 2 grand before she starts moving .. Next stop sign it may be ok or it may still have the issue.

I have replaced the Trans filter fluid that came out. Also replaced the Vacuum modulator.

When I replaced the Trans Filter I did notice that the bottom of the pan was bent up in the center so I took a block of wood and bent it back in to shape. (mostly) And placed a Magnet in the bottom if the pan.

After I replaced the Vacuum modulator the truck ran great for 2 days then it started acting up again.

Any Ideas?

It's low on fluid. The filter fell out. The forward clutch either is worn out or has a seal failing.

Fluid level is ok. it has no trany leaks.

Filter is bolted in so I dont think it would fall off.

What shape was the fluid in when you changed it?

Did you change it because of the slipping?

Sometimes changing the fluid finishes them off if they haven't been serviced right through the years

I changed the fluid cause it was doing this before. The Fluid was not all that good.

I'd suspect this option then:

Though... does your vacuum modulator have an adjusting screw inside it (if you remove the vacuum line and look down the hole)? If so, it could be worth trying to adjust it, given that the new one helped for a short time. I still suspect the clutch, but might as well try the cheap/easy options first.

I can try that.. I was also thinking about doing a Full flush on the tranny. (just did what was in the pan before) Dose anybody know how many quarts a C6 takes? and at 5$ for store brand Type F (Only type F they have) not sure how cheep that will be.

It's not cheap, and it won't fix your problem.

Go ahead and rebuild that C6 and get an aftermarket cooler for it.. It sucks but you are likely throwing your money away trying to bandage it..
