Operating Ford AC compressor Cycle with pressure switch
Okay, its warmed back up in south Mississippi. I have an 03 F150 4bt. I have had lots of trouble getting the AC working. I got it partially charged and the special lines i had made broke apart due vibration. That probably means that the i'll have to get ANOTHER new drier since the system was open for a good while before i noticed it.
I have a much better setup made now that will be immune to that kind of failure. The 03's run off of the PCM, but without the stock setup, it will not cycle. I've read that the older (maybe even as recent as 97) ran off a pressure switch. I have a pressure switch on my drier and high side made into the line. Is it as simple as using the pressure switch to cause the clutch to cycle on the compressor?
Any help much appreciated.
