Well after weeks of back and forth ordered a new 2.7 xlt/xtr/sport 4x4 crew last week. I was 80% sure at one point it would be ram ecodiesel. But after driving and a good deal on the Ford I went that route. After calling a few dodge dealers and finding maintenance costs it also helped me with choice. Every dealer was over $330 for oil change. I was put off the ford because after basic negotiating it was still $4000 more then a similar equipped ram outdoorsman with the diesel. But once it came down to serious talks the ford came out $2000 cheaper and $4000 more options.
Prior to this I would have never considered a 2014 and older f150. I have driven a few, but the 2015 feels totally different.
What am I giving up is a 2012 nissan titan, which hands down has been my favorite truck to date. And it only comes down to fuel economy. I average about 36000 km a year. Titan was on par with my 2011 ram Hemi I had. But now with all the improvement with other manufacturers the gas savings pays for the new truck. But as much as I like the new ford the titan non xd still has me interested and will keep an eye on it. The titan was approaching 100k so time to deal now before major value drop. So ford was it.
Good Jody! Looking forward to how you like the 2.7. It's definitely on my go to list for my next truck. The way I move, I'll be getting a '16 - in '23.
Yes and I just got a good deal on an undercover flex/bedrug combo. So I will be waiting a few weeks to install lol. Also having some 2.7 graphics made up to show all the V8 guys it's a little V6.
