I got the '03 style mirrors and they did NOT have the "objects" label. When I called them they told me that you get what's in the picture...and the picture doesn't show it. You can call to confirm but I would tend to say no.

Those mirrors have the lightly smoked clearance light on the side, just like the picture shows. The mirror does not have the objects appear wording on it.

If you want these mirrors, you can buy the orange lenses to swap out the clear ones, we sell them.

Here's a link to them on our website. There's also a video on the site that will show you how to replace them.

Ok, Thanks! You mention that your supplier can't or won't supply you with the color codes for the (remaining) wires for the signals, running lights and heat........
Is there no way to find this out?

I'd like to do the plug N play as far as the power adjustment goes, THEN splice in the extra wires for the signals, running lights and heat.......

We do not have those schematics available to us. What you "MIGHT" be able to do is, remove the turn signal lens on the side to see what color wires run to it.

We have a video here that shows you how to remove it.

Thanks Brian for the link! This helps!

Guys/Tony, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger, just not sure where yet, ARE the adaptors (for going to the small ROUND WHITE connectors on a '99) available by themselves somewhere??

Thanks Again!

You can buy them from 1A auto or Ford also. My 2003 already has the square plug but here were the ones I would have ordered if I had the round plug:

Thanks Brian! So, these adaptors will plug into the '08 up mirrors, then the ROUND WHITE plug will plug into (my) '99 (that has the white round connector)

And then what is the smaller black connector plug for? (I think I read somewhere that IT is for the HEAT function)

Boy, I am getting so close to pulling the trigger!! just want to have all the info before I do!

That I can't help you with. I got to researching the conversion pigtail then realized I had the square plug when I pulled my door off. All the write-ups I've seen talk about splicing the wires or adding pins to the square connector. Unfortunately that part number no longer exists so that's where I'm stuck. I'm either going to start from scratch and find the pins or just buy a connector to install (except that if I need to replace the mirror I have to buy a new connector). The other drawback too that is that there is very little slack in the door harness to cut off the old connector and install a new one.

The more I look at the adaptor harness I believe it plugs into the '08 up mirrors and has the round white plug for the '99-01s? and the square plug for the '03-'07s......

That's my take........anyone else?

Did the '08 up mirrors ever come with the full chrome from the factory?

I keep seeing the chrome caps and guess they were an option probably based on the trim level of the truck......

On the 99 you should have the round connectors
